Created for a special couple who felt strongly against the use of conflict diamonds in jewelry, they chose a custom, non-diamond ring. 

This is what they chose, an inset band style that appears like a stacked ring when on the finger, centered by a brilliant blue sapphire, flanked by light yellow sapphires - which wear and appear like champagne diamonds. 

This ring, custom made by Wing (Tom Wing & Sons) in their old Palo Alto location shows the quality and creativity of their clients vision = no diamonds, instead the focus is on that gorgeous sapphire! It is a bright intense blue sapphire, set horizontally, accented by two sapphires on each side of the main gemstone. The total aggregate carat weight is .88 for the ring. The sapphires are uniformly high quality, as expected from this legacy maker. 

The ring is a size 5, (could be resized) and weighs in at 7.4 grams of 18K gold, which is also stamped on the inside of the band, along with "WING".
