The SY -1000 is the most powerful guitar/bass synthesizer in BOSS/Roland history. With 6 times the processing power of the SY -300, the custom DSP and newly developed sound engine bring even more power to the GK pickup's string-independent processing, which is essential for advanced performance, in many ways including ultra-fast response, instant tuning changes, sound localization and layering.

◆Build a deep, dense sound

The sound of the SY -1000 is constructed by assigning types such as synthesizers and modeling guitars to instrument blocks called INSTs and combining them. The possibilities of sound making are endless, depending on your idea, whether you combine different types or use multiple of the same type for a thicker sound. In addition, the signals from the 13 pin GK pickup are processed independently for each string, allowing for precise and flexible tone adjustment, mix balance and tuning for all INSTs. You can also blend the INST with the sound of the guitar itself.

◆Dynamic Synth with exceptional expressiveness

The newly developed Dynamic Synth is an entirely new guitar synthesizer. Each string independent signal processing GK input and ultra-fast DSP faithfully tracks the instrument's characteristics, producing a synth sound as heavy as ever. There are 10 different oscillator waveforms to choose from, and in addition to the more orthodox types such as sine, square and saw waves, there is a wide range of coverage, including Roland's own SUPER SAW. With six filters and volume controls, two LFOs and two step sequencers, you can explore every possible tone. Dynamic Synth maximizes its performance by using a GK pickup, but it can also be played on a guitar/bass connected to a GUITAR INPUT.
