We have here a stunning Movado 18k bumper automatic from 1950. The off-white /cream original dial is beautiful! There is patina and character / age as we would expect with a watch in this age which in our opinion adds to its vintage appeal. A mixture of stylish, unique, gilt, spade-type markers and Arabic numerals blend nicely with the case but provide a contrast to the dial for added readability. Finished off with bold, minute, raised-dot tracking, the dial is signed 'Movado, automatic' at 12 and 'Switzerland' at 6 o'clock.
The sharp, 33.5mm, solid 18ct gold, clip-back case is a comfortable wear for both men and women. Stylishly round and with chamfered, horn lugs, this watch has all the 1940s classic dress watch features while benefiting from the entry into the 1950s innovations. Inside is the Movado in house unique bumper automatic caliber, fully serviced by us and running strongly. We've paired this watch on a black leather strap to keep it in the dress watch category, but it looks great on brown too. Not only is this watch in fantastic condition, it also comes with its original box - something that is quite rare for a watch of this age! And also a solid 18ct gold buckle to fit to the strap of your choosing!
