The item was produced in 2002.

This poster, featuring Cy Twombly's "NAUMACKIA 1922,"

was produced in 2002 to accompany "LEPANTO," an exhibition of 12 paintings 

by Cy Twombly that was introduced at the 49th Venice Biennale in the summer of 2001. 

The series depicts naval battles fought by the Venetian-led Allied Forces of Europe 

against the Ottoman invasion in the 16th century. 

The title "Naumachia," written in tempera and pencil on paper, 

is a reference to the mock naval battles that were held as entertainment in ancient Rome.
