Foam extinguishers can be used to put out:
Class A fires involving ordinary combustibles like wood, paper, and fabric.
Class B fires involving flammable liquids like petrol, oil, and solvents.
It's important to note that foam extinguishers should not be used on Class C fires, which involve electrical equipment. Using a foam extinguisher on an electrical fire can put you at risk of electrocution.
