Here's an infrequently seen pen...  an  open SHEAFFER FEATHERTOUCH 850 fountain pen in marine green from about 1945. It's an example of a wire cap ring pen that's not a CRAFTSMAN model. The pen is in fairly good condition and gold plated trim to match the marine greenl color. The pen has a good 4 line barrel imprint including the 850 price mark. There is a full name monogram on the barrel. Another noted discrepancy is that the blind cap does not tightly securely and the pen will need a new seal as well before the plunger filler will take up ink. The nib is a two toned FEATHERTOUCH #5.  It is a fine point with modest flexibility in good condition.
