Benjamin Smith Rotch's Personal Copy Of The New Testament 1809.

B. S. Rotch was a famous American Painter in the  mid to late 19th century and likely acquired this copy of the new Testament while he was studying overseas in Paris. He trained there and returned to the United States, establishing his own artistic excellence while building a large family.

After his passing, the Rotch Trust was established in order to help students travel abroad. As far as I know, the trust is still operating today.

His work rarely comes up for auction, but when it does it fetches fair prices. This is your opportunity to own a piece or art history that isn't art. It would be awesome to see this book become part of a collection of his art, or another collection associated with his legacy.

Contains his bookplate and signature (which is one of the coolest signatures I have ever seen).

Let me know if you have any questions if you desire more photos. Thank you.
