This is a golden age of classic Heinlein stories from the original ASF issues
of the 1940-41.  They are originals...gathered by some obsessive RHH fan,
     removed from the issues and

Professionally rebound, titled "Histories" by Robert Henlein (sic) binding is tight, and true to time and pulp paper,
pages have yellowed, are fragile, brittle in places, with some chips to some edges, and with handwritten
page numbers for the book itself along top right corner.

The stories here, illustrated by Schneeman, with original page #s,  include:

   1. Logic of Empire  (pgs 9-43. (March 1941)   Half the pages have chipping to outer edge (as shown).
There is a black ink spot mid story with bleedthrough, covering several words.

On verso of p.43 was glued the color cover of Astonishing SF for November, 1941

2.)  "If this Goes ON"  pgs. 9-40. (Part 1).  Pages are more protected and thus few chips,
though all edges of all the pages in this 'book' are fragile   (February, 1940)

3.)  "If This Goes On" (Part 2)  pgs. 117-151, end of story.(March, 1940)

The next story first page is glued to verso of p.151, and that story is, of course,

      4)  Coventry (illustrated by Orban)  pgs. 56-93, (July, 1940)

and true to form, glued to verso of p. 93 is

cover of Astonishing SF  January, 1940, (Requiem) (not included) followed by

       5)  Misfit  , illustrated by Wesso,  pgs. 53-67, (November 1939), and to verso of 67 is glued

Astonishing cover May 1941, featuring Heinlein's Universe, which indeed follows

6.)  Universe  pgs. 9-42.  (May 1941)  Story ends on a verso side so next page is

Astonishing cover  October, 1941, to the back of which is glued first page of next story,

         7)  Common Sense - The Sequel to Universe  pgs. 102-154. (October 1941) also ends on a verso so next page is

Astonishing cover of Methuselah's Children feature ( July 1941),nothing glued to verso

          8)  The Roads Must Roll   20pgs  last page has chips to most edges.  ASF June, 1940.

This story was part of original book, but is now separated from the text, as shown.

plus Astonishing front cover, featuring The Roads Must Roll.  edgewear to left cover edge,

         9) Methuselah's Children (Pt. 1)  pgs. 9 -44 (July 41)

         10) Methuselah's Children (Pt.2)  pg.63-109 (Aug 41)

      11)  Methuselah's Children Conclusion pg 135*-162 (Sept 41)

*pg 135 seems to be first page of third part, it flows with conclusion of second,

but no illustration or note per se that its the first sentence.

In fact, the pages are all disbound, all chipped along each edge.  Last two pages have

The last page of Methuselah has white tape on one side and a brown tape across other side.

Words are legible through the white, but the brown does block out some words that it covers.

Removable I suppose, but not by an amateur...

Last two pages of  part 2 are also disbound, with inevitable further chipping to edges.

So, to be crystal clear, these are not museum quality in any way, shape or form.

So, I count 10 issues from which these stories have been extracted.

               I count 5 color covers.

This "book" is disbound, cover has separated and from the former owner numbering of

pages, several stories covering 39pgs, have most likely been removed.

So, there you have it.  Any questions, let me know.  I will ship carefully and securely wrapped,

but given fragility of the pages esp., book is sold as is, no returns, and purchase includes this

understanding and agreement.  I wouldn't suggest using these as even reading copies, as

handling of any kind is not going to be kind to this fragile collection. You probably have the stories

already, or versions of the originals, "reading copies", while keeping this out of harm's way...
