This is a Mintons Essex Birds 10" octagonal earthenware dinner plate featuring the rare duck. It has an impressed mark on the back for dating, but I can not make out enough to get the exact month and year; however, my best guess is the 1880's. Condition is very good for the age. There is one small chip on the rim (shown in last photo). There is typical crazing, some light staining as well as some surface scratches.
