Two cent green codfish stamp from the 1865-1879 First Cents Issue. Printed by the American Bank Note Company of New York on thin, yellowish , unwatermarked pelure paper, engraved, perf 12.0x12.0, shiny colorless gum. Stamp has original gum (scarce thus) that is very heavily disturbed by handling/storage and previous hinging, hinge remnants. Catalogue values are based on stamps with no gum with a premium of 100% added for stamps with original gum. Pencil notations on gum and some light toning here and there mentioned for the record.
