Lights and speaker are linked together. You have your choice of white or can pick a color for "still-lighting" or use the flashing and fading patterns on the remote.
Or can use DJ mode button on your remote and let the lights flash and fade to the beat your music.
The speaker can be quite load itself if you choose, Also I designed it to have about 3/4'' Inch space from the wall to the base of unit when hung. This allows for light to illuminate around the back of fixture and space for the sound to escape after bouncing off the wall, enhancing the volume of your music.

Standard plug with approximately 87'' Inches of cord.
Condition is good, some small minor marks from normal vintage wear.
