Vintage Footed Swirl Pottery Vase w/ Leather Bands ~ Navajo?

This hand thrown pottery vase measures 4 1/2" tall. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. It comes with the original leather bands that were with the vase when acquired at an estate. It bears a "VP" or "JA" mark depending on how you look at the inscription on the footed base.
