Following numerous requests to release our range of sliding snelled rigs on Ebay we have finally got round to it! This tried and tested rig is approx. 1.2m long making it easy cast from the rocks beach or riverbank. Hand tied using quality 80lb monofilament leader tied to 80lb black coated wire, 2 x chemically sharpened 7/0 circle hooks and a 108lb black barrel swivel. The top hook is a sliding snelled hook that adjusts to the size of bait you are using, allowing great presentation to both head and tail striking fish. Perfect for small and BIG baits. (Hint: this rig is Perfect for hooking whole squid) The joining of the wire to the mono without the use of a swivel is designed to eliminate the extra hardware that might tip off the fish that there is something not quite right! :) resulting in the potential for more strikes. A great rig for targeting Mackerel or Yahoo where it pays to have some wire in the rig without the need for a long metal trace that could make the fish line shy.

The rig is deliberately a bit longer than our usual 1m so if you desire you can cut off the swivel and still have plenty of rig left to tie the mono to your mainline, eliminating even more hardware.
