Up for sale today is this Antique Pince Nez 14k Gold Collapsible Lorgnette Reading Glasses. The glasses are in excellent well cared for condition. The glasses are hallmarked 14k Pat Jan 30 17 and were manufactured by Pince Nez. The glasses fold up and lock in place without issue. The frame and bridge are engraved with a nice Victorian design. For use there is a button that opens the monocle into a pair of glasses that fits over the bridge of the nose and is pinched by a spring to stay in place. The lenses are both in great shape both as eyeglasses or as a monocle. The glasses weigh in at 24 grams including the lenses. The average weight for lenses like this in 18 grams.
