The highest reliability of the watch mechanism as well as the durability of all components of the design, relative ease of repair, almost perfect accuracy of all calibers, in general, amazing quality that was characteristic of men's watches Vostok (VOSTOK), produced during the Soviet era, back in the 50s years of the twentieth century gave wide popularity to these watches and not only in the Soviet Union itself, but also in many other countries.

  In addition, at that time in the USSR there was a rather strict procedure for testing watch movements, which ended with the final control of watches for their compliance with GOSTs. It was held for 10 days, during which the watch was tested in four positions: "6H", "3H", "CH" and "9H" and at three test temperatures: 0, +20 and +40 degrees Celsius.

   And all the technical developments that were used in the production of military watches were used in most of the details and engineering solutions that are present in all models of Vostok watches. Thus, watches of this brand, which were equipped with a heavy-duty case made of stainless steel, were able to withstand the pressure of a layer of water at a depth of up to 200 meters!

    It was the Vostok watch that was the locomotive in the field of professional chronometers, which accurately measured time in conditions of increased dustiness, high or low temperature, in water, at low or high pressure, vibrations, shocks, etc.
