The Book Called Holinshed's Chronicles: An account of its inception. purpose, contributors, contents, publication, revision and influence on William Shakespeare by Stephen Booth, designed and printed in an edition of 500 copies by Adrian Wilson at his Press in Tuscany Alley, San Francisco for the Book Club of California, 1968, each copy with an original leaf from the 1587 edition, hardbound without dust jacket as issued, 83 pages, 9 by 14 1/4 inches, in very good condition as the covers are lightly soiled and partly sunned.  The original leaf in this copy is pages 917 and 918 (Henrie the eight).   As noted in the title, the original 1587 Holinshed's Chronicles are remembered not as a comprehensive history of Great Britain but as a book read by William Shakespeare that likely influenced the writing of many of his plays.
