This beautiful antimony Japanese box dates to around 1910.  Decorated in a repoussé style with two oarsmen transporting a noblewoman in a dragon boat.  The detail is exquisite, from the people, the boat and the water, right down to the mountains, trees and houses in the pastoral background.  The wooden lining within is still intact.

Still in fine form with some rubbing to the highest areas.  Opens and closes cleanly and neatly.  There is a small break to the metal on the top right corner at the back - photographed.  But overall just a lovely piece.

Measures 15.3cm x 8.5cm, and stands 6.4cm tall.  Weight is 506 grams.
