To find the filter/thread size of a lens, look for the symbol Ø followed by a number (e.g. Ø58mm). This is usually located at the front of the lens. It has nothing to do with the focal length (for example, 18mm-55mm).

When light reflects off a surface (such as water or glass), they become polarized. Polarizing filters determine which light enters your camera lens, which can eliminate unwanted reflections.
