Hand-Signed (and inscribed to "Mr and Mrs Lars Christensen") on front endpaper in black ink  by "C W H Kohler  Kohler of the K.W.G." (see pic; Kohler has written "South Africa" under his name, and he has dated it "Nov. 2nd, 1949"),

This is an original, vintage, 1946, author-signed, autobiography book.  

Charles W H Kohler (1862 -- 1952) was Founder of the Co-operative Wine Growers' Association ("KWV") of South Africa. When the wine industry found itself in crisis in 1916, Charles Kohler was moved by the plight of the wine farmers. Kohler developed the idea of a  co-op to stabilize and grow the South African wine industry.  His idea worked, and it saved the country's wine industry.

Kohler signed the book on its front-inner-cover.  His signature includes his wife, but I believe it was hand-written by Charles W H Kohler (because he states "Kohler of the K.W.G." with his signature, date, and location) .  It states:

"To Mr. and Mrs. Lars Christensen  With every good wish from  Dr. and Mrs. C. W. H. Kohler Kohler of the K.W.G.  Nov. 2nd, 1949  South Africa"

This inscription is a total size:  about 5 inches high by 5 inches wide.
