This is a VINTAGE pilot's helmet from the 1940s-50s.  It's made of black leather, with a soft lining.  The leather is original, and has some wear and chafing.  The buckles are also original, and have some tiny rust spots.  The buckles have been tightened for decades, and the leather is creased and folded in places.  The ear flaps extend completely, and vents on the sides are unobstructed.  The strap to connect the ear flaps around the neck is missing.  This is still an amazing piece of military history with all the condition issues.
