Herman Miller, founded in 1923, is a furniture manufacturer focusing on office furniture. Working with such renowned designers as George Nelson and Charles and Ray Eames, Herman Miller led the mid-century era and continues to be loved by people around the world today. The firm vision of "great design can create great environments" is carried through on the posters that are released each year as Summer Picnic, a new series of posters. This is a very rare and limited edition poster for display in directly-managed dealers' stores. Please note that some posters may have slight creases, scratches, etc. due to storage or age, as they are original works. (Please feel free to inquire about the condition of the artwork.)

This poster is silkscreened. Silkscreen is a type of stencil printing in which the screen is divided into two parts, one where the ink can pass through and one where it cannot, and the ink is pressed out onto the paper. Printing on a variety of materials is possible due to the low printing pressure, and nowadays, instead of silkscreen, a finer-grained and stronger synthetic fiber is often used for the screen surface. The printed ink layer is very thick, and the result is delicate and soft.
