The 2022 Silver Fender Guitar Pick Coin was released to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Fender® Company. Unsurprisingly, the guitar pick coin proved to be incredibly popular among collectors and sold out quickly. To continue the 75th Anniversary celebration, PAMP Suisse subsequently released a two-coin Fender-themed set. Now, PAMP proudly promotes the Fiesta Red Stratocaster! First produced in 1954, the Stratocaster (also known as the “Strat”) is still being made today. Its popularity was mainly due to its innovative features for that time period, including its appearance consisting of a double cutaway, elongated horns, and a heavily contoured back. Combined with a three-pickup design and a simplified vibrato arm integrated into the bridge plate, these elements excited musicians worldwide and later became standard throughout the industry. The release of the “Fiesta Red” Stratocaster in 1957 by George Fullerton marked the introduction of custom colors into Fender’s arsenal.
