Chet Baker - Sings! My Funny Valentine

Innvocating the genre of cool jazz, Chet Baker was nicknamed the "Prince of Cool".
He was a legendary trumpet player, but also a very gifted jazz singer, which he showcases in these early studio recordings.
"My Funny Valentine“ became his signature song and he had a bright future ahead, if he hadn’t been suffering from drug addiction since the 1950’s.
Baker went in and out of jail during and eventually died after falling from a hotel window in Amsterdam in 1988 at age 58.
