CHRIS POTTER TENOR SAXOPHONE MOUTHPIECE

Legends Series Mouthpieces are officially licensed reproductions modeled after the originals used by the worlds most iconic instrumental musicians. The creation of the Legends Series Woodwind line begins in a state of the art scanning laboratory, in which technicians capture highly precise scan data, capturing the unique characteristics of each original piece, thus matching the exact geometry of the original. Once the scan process is completed, the scan data is paired with highly specialized software to clean, align and create high quality CAD models. From an archival standpoint, the 3D scan models of the mouthpieces are exact representations of the original.

Master mouthpiece maker, Norbert Stachel oversees the hand finishing process to ensure the highest possible quality and accuracy of each authentic reproduction. Norbert has been refacing mouthpieces since 1996 and over the last twenty-fine years has established himself as a mouthpiece authority. His patrons include Pharoah Sanders, Craig Handy, Charles McPherson, Nelson Rangel, Tom Politzer, Bob Franceschini, Marty Ehrlich, Jason Marshall, Bobby Porcelli, Peter Brainin, Jimmy Green and many first call Broadway musicians and symphonic clarinetists. Norbert patiently uses his experience as a seasoned saxophonist and clarinetist in harmony with his refined techniques and personal knowledge of single reed mouthpiece acoustics, along with precise minute measurements and adjustments to guarantee accuracy and optimal results in his mouthpiece facing work.

Legends Series mouthpieces are designed and crafted in the United States.
