This is a BEAUTIFUL hand painted ice canister and bowl matching set.  The bowl fits perfectly in the top of the canister and forms a lid.  The canister is signed "Renee" by the artist.  These are usually used as dip chillers, where ice is placed in the larger canister and dip placed in the bowl.  The bowl is then set in the large canister to keep the dip cool.  I suppose it could also be used for other things, or possibly as a warmer.  The entire collection stands 6 inches high (the bowl is 2.75 inches tall) and they are both 5.5 inches in diameter.  They are in EXCELLENT CONDITION, with no chips, cracks or scratches.
