Tom Clark ++ Marty ++ Cairn Gnome # 5074

Description:  You are bidding on a Tom Clark ++ Marty ++ Cairn Gnome # 5074.  This figurine is edition # 40.  Hand painted pecan resin Made in the USA.  This figurine is a “shelf sitter” and does not sit on the shelf without a “riser” or something to let the one leg hand down.  Their Kindred Spirits always have such character and whimsy.

About this Cairn Creation:

Marty had a grand time at Mardi Gras, and despite his size, was able to catch some of the goodies that are tossed to the crowd from the parade floats.  He is sitting on two doubloons and his belt is a Mardi Gras necklace.  In his pocket is a 1918 coin from France, minted at the end of the Great War, when happiness could resume.  Marty’s oldest friends are Madre and Padre, and they love to hear about his travels.  They’re wondering, “Isn’t he supposed to give up some of his excesses now?”  But, the truth is, Marth loves parties and is fat every Tuesday.  He shares the name of my cousin, Marth Cooke of Ocean Isle, North Carolina, so I’ve given this Woodspirit a sea shell bow tie from Ocean Isle.

Condition:  There are no chips or cracks and the figurine is in like new used estate condition and comes from a smoke free home and has not been on display.
