Uncensored: Mom's Apple Pie Artwork on Spiral Notebook w Brown Bag Records Logo.

Mom's Apple Pie was a ten-member Ohio rock band best known its album cover and for the voice of lead singer Bob Fiorino. The band released two albums, Mom's Apple Pie in 1972 and Mom's Apple Pie II in 1973. They performed with such artists as the Doobie Brothers and David Bowie.

The group’s elf-titled first album's risqué cover artwork, designed by Nick Caruso, was banned shortly upon the album's release and an alternative cover was released. The original cover, highly sought after by collectors, comprises the front cover of this 7.5” x 7.5” spiral notebook. The Rolling Stone said: “An Ohio rock band had one of the most lurid album covers ever. The cover illustration was in the tradition of Norman Rockwell, except for the giant speakers and the slice cut into the apple pie, which revealed a spread vulva — shown in pornographic detail …”

The used notebook, which contains more than 20 unused pages with a red Brown Bag Records label imposed on one corner, is in good condition with some yellowing on the cover.
