A fabulous handmade braided straw hat in black with stiff pink crinoline flower petals in the center to dramatic effect. There are tiny pink rosettes sprinkled around the black straw.  Inside is a form fitting frame that sits on the top of the head to keep the hat in place.  The brim in the front is wider than in the back.  We believe that it dates to the early part of the 20th century a note found with the hat when it came to us (see photo).

The condition is excellent, especially for its age.  We note that a few of the pink rosettes need to be rewound.
