1912 - 1924 ANTIQUE PHOTOGRAPH ALBUM & NEGATIVES - PORTRAITS ETC COLOGNE GERMANY

A fine large photograph album with hard cloth boards with gilt and black decoration.

This looks to have been done by someone serious about their photography.  A sheet to the front details each numbered photograph with date, location, and subject,  together with the camera settings etc used.

The locations and subjects are mostly family members in Germany,  with some abroad including a tour to the Ruins of Ypres in 1919.  With a little research the original family could probably be established.

The album is complete with 93 of the 96 available windows with photographs (last three unused on the final page).  Also included are 8 numbered negatives of the internal room scenes.  The photos are medium format 4 1/2 by 3 1/2 inch.

The album is in very good condition with minor marks and wear from age and handling. There are some age marks to the pages,  one short tear noted,  the photos in good condition,  several faded or overexposed.

Album 32.6cm x 25cm.  1.25kg.
