DESCRIPTION:

This is THE ORIGINAL Cydney Grossman oil on canvas painting (1940's-1950's) charming Hollywood Regency style  portrait of a ballerina, onstage, holding congratulatory flowers after a performance. Fantasy, dreamlike, kitsch. Has original framing shop (Radburn) with Art Deco style label on back of frame (without a zip code, so painting is likely at least before 1963). Period frame. No artist signature that is visible. Painting on canvas (nailed to stretcher frame). Brush strokes visible, layered paint and some areas on canvas which is slightly textured with extra paint. There are many reproductions (prints) available online of this image of various sizes. Please inquire with any additional questions or request for photos.

CONDITION:

No damage or holes to canvas. Good color. Some wear to frame.
