In part: "...would advise having one of existing projection rooms 
equipped immediately ... / with Western Electric as they are having the
 best engineers in the world work on the sound process ... / I believe that 
we should make an effort to do a talking picture with Bebe (Daniels)... /
today we are experimenting with Eddie Cantor..."

** Jesse L. Lasky was an American motion picture pioneer who produced
 the first film in Hollywood, the epic western, The Squaw Man (1913). 

 Formed studio with his brother-in-law Samuel Goldwyn and was a
key founder of Paramount Pictures with Adolph Zukor. 

In 1927, Lasky was one of the 36 founders of the Academy of Motion 
 Picture Arts and Sciences. 



Adolph Zukor was a Hungarian-American film producer, one of the three founders
 of Paramount Pictures with Jesse L. Lasky and William Wadsworth Hodkinson.

He produced one of Hollywood's first feature-length films 
The Prisoner of Zenda (1913). 

In 1949 an Honorary Academy Award was presented to Zukor for his services 
to the industry over a forty year period.

Remained Paramount's Chairman of the Board until his death
 in 1976 at age 103.
