Here we have, in perfect mint condition,

a superb example of the programme from the

1915 F. A. Cup final played between

SHEFFIELD UNITED  and  CHELSEA,

at Old Trafford on April 24th 1915.

"The Khaki cup Final"

In the last final until the end of the war, many of the crowd were
wearing khaki uniforms, hence the name of the final.
Many teams were playing with players that usually played for other teams,
due to the mobilisation of such a huge number of personel,
so the suspension of football after this match was predictable.
Sheffield United won the cup 3 - 0, with goals from Jimmy Simmons,
Stanley Fazackerley and Joseph Kitchen.
The programme was produced by Manchester United, who used
the cover to boast of thier own achievments, neglecting even to
mention that it was a cup final, or listing the two teams playing!
