Officially trademarked in 1927, PAL came an independent company in 1939 and chiefly produced its blades in Plattsburgh, NY.

PAL was very prolific in producing and marketing its unique "hollow-ground" blade, and had many government contracts in WWII with knives and cutlery. PAL was truly innovative with its marketing with all the many packages their blades came in. They are an iconic part of U.S. history, and who doesn't love that pointy-nosed character?

You will find these blades and boxes to be in more than excellent condition and a wonderful display for your private space. I have shaved many many times with a PAL Gold Thin Blade, and I am always amazed after all these years how well they shave. It's that way with many other brands also. Give them a try if you'd like! A little touch of hydrogen peroxide will clean and sanitize any vintage blade that is free of rust and corrosion, and enable you to have a true vintage shaving experience.

*** Note that these are vintage blades for collector value. Not ever single blade was personally inspected but most of these are in more than fantastic condition. For that reason, you may be able to shave with many, but probably not all. Box condition can only loosely determine the storage conditions of each.
