Nylon sound guitar for electric guitar players.

I want a casual approach to the nylon sound. I want a nylon guitar that I can play without too much discomfort with my regular electric. And an instrument that's fun not only on stage but also as a living room guitar is good.

The Ibanez FRH 10 N is a "nylon electric guitar" developed with these concepts in mind.

Its natural nylon string sound, which wraps around the player when you pluck on it acoustically, and its traumatic nylon sound, which feels like a new era when you plug it in, will add another page to your playing experience.

■Modified FR hollow body w/ Fan bracing

Based on the single-cut Ibanez original "FR" shape, this hollow-structured body is approximately 50 mm thick with fan bracing at the top (front instep), which is common in classical guitars.

■Side Sound Port

There is no sound hole on the front side of the body, but there is a sound port on the side of the player's body. It is designed so that you can feel the natural nylon sound in your body without much difference from an electric guitar.

■46mm width nut/400R fretboad radius

The nut width is midway between typical classical and electric guitars, with a 400 mm R on the fingerboard. It was designed to be played by an electric guitar player, with specs that set it apart from classical guitars for smooth fingering.

It also opens up a new category of "Nylon Electric Guitars," with a slightly lower string height setting (compared to typical classical guitars) that doesn't even mind buzzing.

■Solid Sitka Spruce top

Sitka spruce single plate material is used for the body top, which features a bright and well-worn sound.

■Sapele back and sides

Featuring a mahogany-like appearance and sound, the body is made of sapperi wood, rich in warm mid- and low-frequency components, on the sides (carapace) and back (carapace).

■Walnut fretboard

The fingerboard is made of walnut wood, which features a balanced sound.

■Walnut bridge

The bridge is made of walnut wood as well as fingerboard material.
