Your vehicle is fitted with an oil pressure warning light. After starting your vehicle the oil pressure instantly begins to rise, which in turn switches off the Warning Light.
It is designed to make electrical contact once a particular pressure has been reached. In this case if the Oil Pressure drops during operation, the light will come on warning the driver that there is a problem with the Oil Pressure.
