Preface
THIS volume contains the proceedings of the Annual General Meeting of the Iron and Steel Institute, held in London in May 1910, together with the papers read at that meeting. The Carnegie Research Memoirs are now published as a separate volume each year, while the List of Members is issued, as in previous years, as a separate pamphlet, revised to July 31, 1910.
The present volume also contains a Report of the proceedings at the Fifth International Congress of Mining, Metallurgy, Applied Mechanics, and Practical Geology, held in Din June this year ; and an account of the Annual Dinner of the Iron and Steel Institute.
The remainder of the Journal consists of obituary notices of deceased members, library reports, and the usual record of progress of the home and foreign iron and steel industries during the first half of the current year.
