Precautions for using tube motors
(1) Control the torque and speed, preferably setting the torque control motor and matching speed. Following the torque recommended by the expanding needle manufacturer, speed is particularly important for safe treatment.

(2) Measure the length of the instrument before entering the root canal every time. Long instruments increase the risk of twisting and breaking. Equipped with root canal length measuring instruments, calipers, etc. for working length measurement.

(3) The correct operating technique is crucial: do not apply pressure or force at the tip. The instrument should not stay in the root canal for too long.

(4) The fracture of instruments often occurs in molars, especially in small and narrow root canals such as upper and lower molars. Special care should be taken before treatment.

(5) Curved root canals, retreatment, and calcified root canals require special requirements for instruments and techniques, preferably with new expanding needles.

(6) Establish a straight path to maintain a smooth root canal, pay attention to gestures during operation, and try to ensure that the expanding needle is in line with the root canal path, reducing the bending resistance of the expanding needle in the crown and the stress borne by the instrument.

(7) The root canal should be thoroughly lubricated and rinsed every time it is prepared.

(8) Due to the narrow interior of the root canal, do not apply pressure on the expanding needle by hand during operation. Instead, rely solely on the machine's own force and the edge of the expanding needle to complete the cutting.

(9) In the absence of experience, using the recommended minimum torque is the safest option. Generally speaking, a lower rotational speed will prolong the clinical lifespan of the device and reduce the probability of breakage.

(10) Choose a good expanding needle, control the frequency of use, and observe whether there is wire drawing or deformation when using it. If found, be sure to discard it in a timely manner, otherwise regret it.

(11) It is best to record the number of uses after each use to prevent device fatigue; The debris from the expanding needle blade should be repeatedly and promptly cleaned, and a cleaning table should be equipped.
