A striking German silver cream jug in the 18th century style of ovoid form with raised flared spout and raised carved ebonised handle. Set on three elegant cabriole legs with cast hoof detail to the feet and large decorative acanthus leaf moulded terminals. A decorative cast detailed border runs around the shoulders sandwiched in a stepped, grooved band. Hallmarks to the base, c.1890.

It measures 13.7cm (5 3/8") high and 9cm (3 1/2") by 5.7cm (2 1/4") wide. It weighs 124g / 4.0ozt.
