Fabulous Poole Pottery England tea or coffee pot in the Summer Glory pattern, vintage from the 1970s.

The story of Poole Pottery began in 1873 when Jesse Carter bought a tile factory on Poole’s East Quay near to the local deposits of Dorset clay. Famous for its purity, the ware created from this clay became one of the most important, most distinctive, and most collectable of the twentieth century British ceramics. The Summer Glory pattern is one of Poole's most popular designs, released in the late 1970s and made for a number of years, but now discontinued.

The pot measures 16.5cm in height without the lid in place, 21.5cm with the lid, and holds 2 1/4 British pints of fluid. It is in excellent condition for its age and has minimal, if any, signs of previous use.

The gorgeous artwork features a bouquet of early autumn dried wildflowers and wheat sprays in shades of pastel blues, sweet rose and light oranges. Perfect for special occasions or everyday use and a wonderful addition to a Poole Pottery Summer Glory collection.
