Rare 1945 Large 16" Schuco Mushroom Tricky Musical & Yes-No Teddy Bear Germany


Description:
This bear has a mushroom-colored curly mohair and a hump. It also features clear glass eyes with brown backs and black pupils, a pronounced clipped muzzle, a black stitched nose, mouth, and claws, jointed limbs with down-turned hands, and felt pads on both hands and feet. It retains its original red Bakelite chest tag adorned with a pink ribbon as well as its original detachable Schuco key.

It operates through a tail-operated Yes-No mechanism and includes a keywind musical movement that plays the lullaby 'Sleep baby sleep.'

This bear was made in the US Zone of Germany by Schuco, circa 1945.

Condition:
Everything is complete and original. The mohair has some soiling but no moth holes on pads. There is a small bald area of mohair on the belly around the key. The music mechanism is working perfectly. Free of odors in very fine overall condition.
