Bitter orange essential oil is an effective antibacterial and antiseptic, for which the main ingredient limonene is largely responsible (it accounts for up to 95%). The product is used to soothe and treat dermatological problems (e.g. psoriasis, fungal infections, eczema) and to cleanse small wounds. When used in a diffuser, it purifies the air and can protect against colds and flu, especially during periods of increased sickness.
The oil is useful during a massage - it stimulates skin tone and helps get rid of cellulite. When used in the stomach and abdominal area, it improves the digestive process and helps get rid of toxins. It is not uncommon for it to be included in cosmetics dedicated to vascular, oily and acne-prone skin - the product has a versatile effect - it strengthens, cleanses, calms and tones the skin.
Bitter orange is a warm, intense, fruity-floral aroma with a slight hint of bitterness. According to aromatherapy enthusiasts, it is the perfect combination of the scent of sweet orange and dry grapefruit. The extract relieves stress, anxiety, eliminates fatigue, improves mood and stimulates. Contraindications: May irritate sensitive skin. Perform a topical test when using for the first time. Do not use in case of any wounds or irritation. Not suitable for children, pregnant and lactating women. Has a photosensitising effect, so do not expose skin to sunlight after application.
