Here we have, in perfect mint condition,

a superb example of the programme from the first ever FA cup final to
be played at Wembley Stadium, the

1923 F. A. Cup final played between

BOLTON WANDERES  and  WEST HAM UNITED,

 on April 28th, 1923.

In the first ever final to be played at the majestic new Wembley Stadium,
vast crowds overcame the turnstiles, which made the unofficial attendance
300,000 plus.
This caused the match to be delayed by 45 minutes, until the police, and, of course,
the famous "white horse" managed to get the spectaters back to just behind the
touchline.
Each team had won 5 rounds previously, and Bolton had won 1 - 0 in every round,
each game won with a goal scored by David Jack.
Jack obliged again in the 2nd minute of the final, and Jack Smith scored the
Wanderers' second to take the cup back up north.
The name of the "White horse" was Billie, and was ridden by George Scorer,
who, by way of reward was granted free tickets for subsequent finals, but
as he had no interest in football, did not attend.
