Vintage Canon FD 50mm 1:1.8 S.C Lens - Spare & Repair 35129
The FD lens mount is a breech-lock
mount, which is a variation of the common triple-flanged bayonet
attachment. The advantage of the breech-lock over the bayonet is that
neither the contact surfaces between the body and lens, nor the
signalling mechanisms, rotate against each other when the lens is
mounted. This prevents any mechanical wear, which could conceivably
reduce the very precise lens-to-film distance or introduce communication
errors between lens and body.
Good Stuff:
As is sale because the light meter is not working and not sure if it can be fixed or not but all other features on this camera seem to be working fine. Shutter speeds are accurate and there is no squeal sound.
Lens elements need cleaning, I think it will not affect results. You can use this camera for parts or repairs but I will not accept returns at any cost in case I miss anything so please buy at your own risk.
