In 2015 to celebrate Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek, the Perth Mint on behalf of the issuing country of Tuvalu released a very Limited Issue Transporter $1 One Dollar Silver Proof 2 Coin Set each struck in solid fine .999 Silver and weighing one ounce of pure Silver each.
The reverse design depicts the U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-D on the first coin and Captain Jean-Luc Picard on the second while the obverse of both coins bear the elegant portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank Broadley.
