   1987 April FINE

SN3545148.   This note has been in circulation for some time which has left it with surface wrinkles & folds, it also contains quite a number of creases some having left surface marks. The paper is still on the firm side & is clean, there is a very light graffiti mark of '20' on the top right but is free from pinholes. The corners are still sharp and the edges are good, on the bottom edge, near the centre there is a very tiny tear.

These notes have been in circulation for some time which has left the

surface covered in fine wrinkles. They also contain numerous folds and

some  creasing.

None of the creases are extremely heavy.

 The paper is still on the firm side and is free from holes & graffiti.

 The corners and edges are very good & are free from tears or nicks.

SN2177800. As described above (January VF) but has a tiny tear to the top

 1.5mm long.

SN1897368. This note has been taken from circulation. The surface contains

some wrinkles & light folds, some being teller counting flicks.

The paper is firm, clean, without graffiti or holes. All the corners and edges are very

 sharp & free from tears or nicks.

SN1914741. The bottom edge of the note contains numerous wrinkles and

folds. The rest of the surface is fairly smooth except to the left where it contains

about four vertical heavy folds, also one in the centre. The paper is very firm,

clean & free from holes or graffiti. All the corners and edges are sharp.

These notes were purchased from a house clearance recently so they were set aside shortly after being issued. The paper is very firm & free from holes or graffiti. All the edges & corners are sharp & free from nicks or tears.. Under each serial number i have given   further details of each note.

SN4881941 Most of the surface contains fine wrinkles. There are also extremely light counting folds to either side.

SN4883259. There are a few wrinkles in the paper. To either side there are light counting flicks & it has three light vertical folds. 

SN4950600. The note contains a light vertical & horizontal fold in the centre. At each side there are also some running at an angle across the paper, probably teller counting marks.

1990 About Extremely Fine

SN4677172.

Most of the surface contains fine wrinkles. There are also some angled counting flicks/folds at either end. The centre contains a vertical light crease. Except for the top left corner which is slightly frayed the edges & rest of the corners are sharp & free from tears or nicks. The paper is still very firm & free from graffiti or holes.

  SN4717703. This banknote has not been in circulation for long. They were set aside shortly after issue & I recently purchased them from a house clearance. Most of the surface contains fine wrinkles & the right side contains a double 'V' shape counting mark. There is a light vertical crease to the left running through the '0' of the £20. To the centre there is also a vertical crease which has left light marks in the print.  The paper is really firm, also free from graffiti & pin holes. All the edges & corners are very sharp & free from nicks or tares.

1990 Very Fine

These notes were purchased from a house clearance.  

The paper is firm & clean, free from pin holes & graffiti. None of

 the edges have tears or nicks & they are all sharp, including the

 corners, with virtually no signs of wear. Under each serial number

 there is a further detailed description of each note.

SN6563554.  Approximately 50% of the paper surface contains

 fine wrinkles & folds. Vertically in the centre there are three

 bends. it also contains teller counting flicks/folds to the right. 

 It is free from heavy creases, pin holes, graffiti & the paper is still

 very firm. All the edges & corners are sharp, free from tears &

 nicks. There is a very tiny red ATM mark to the top edge.

SN4914663.

(First read details under this grade above) Most of the paper

 surface contains wrinkles & light folds. Along the top edge the

 wrinkles are fairly heavy. There are two observable folds, one to

 the bottom left corner & one vertical to the left side. It is free from

 creases.

These notes have been in circulation which has caused the

 complete surface to contain wrinkles & folds. There are a few

 light creases but severe enough to break the print. The paper is

 still very firm, free from graffiti or holes. The edges & corners are

 very good & free from tears or nicks.

Very collectable notes that are hard to find now in any condition, making them very desirable for adding to any good note collection.
