Paris: Garnery Libraire, 1819. Hardcover in 1/4 leather and marbled boards. Measures 9-1/2 x 7 inches; xix text pages (a double columned critical analysis by Barbie du Bocage) followed by 32 copper engraved maps, plans, and plates with at least one hand colored in outline, many fold-out. 

Lacking spine strip, front board detached, heavy toning to a few plates, occasional marking, but overall in good or better condition;

Jean-Denis Barbié, known as Barbié du Bocage, born on April 28, 1760 in Paris and died in this city on December 28, 1825, was a French geographer and cartographer, dean of the Faculty of Letters of Paris, member of the Institute.
