Antique Pierced Silverplate Metal 4 CHERUB w/ GOAT Desk PANEL Bookend ELKINGTON

ANTIQUE SILVERPLATE PANELS

Interesting and unusual antique Victorian embossed and pierced silverplate metal panels, each measuring 5-3/4" wide by 4-1/8" tall. Featuring an ornate and detailed scene of four cherubs playing with a goat, condition is lovely with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage. I'm guessing these were part of a desk set - possibly removed from a sliding bookend or similar. I believe they are by Elkington, dating 1880s or 1890s - probably silverplate over copper. Think they are so unusual and interesting -- lovely addition to anycollection or display!
