This is an aftermarket part to enable the use of R2 radius curves in your track layout. (based on LGB R2 dimensions) Standard playmobil plastic track only came in one non standard radius which is slightly smaller than R1. Track builders will have already run into the issue of gaps in their layouts with the standard Playmobil plastic track. Playmobil does include spacer blocks which can be snapped together but these do not always result in the correct length. They can also not be locked to adjacent track sections. Straight tracks of custom lengths in 5mm increments are being developed and will soon be ready for sale. It is recommended to use the AnyRail track planning software to test layouts and find what length track is required to complete your layout. This can of course just be done by building and measuring. Custom straight track lengths are available on request. If you already have surplus brass R2 radius curved track sections, a much more economical route would be to use the 7562-A Track Adapter available for purchase in my shop. |
