DESCRIPTION:

Offered is a rare 1980's original 3-dimensional painting / wall sculpture by African American, Oakland California artist and activist Casper Banjo (1937-2008). Casper was known for his brick-themed works, this being the smallest of the four works I have listed.  This painting is built-up to look like real brick (including raised "brick" and recessed "mortar"). Likely on canvas over an artist-made wood frame. This image is unsigned the other works I have listed have signatures.  All four of the paintings were purchased together.

An online inquiry into Casper Banjo will provide a detailed background of his life and work. Please reply with any inquiries.
