This is a vintage book from 1952.  It is an oversized Hardcover with Dustjacket, English-language version of De Tolnay's book originally published in German in 1925, with an expanded catalogue of Bruegel's drawings.  It is an outstanding visual memoir.  This 1952 book has all of Bruegel's drawings for the first time.  It also has a biography about the artist's development.

Pieter Bruegel the Elder (1525–1530 -- 1569) was among the most significant artists of Dutch and Flemish Renaissance painting, a painter and printmaker, known for his landscapes and peasant scenes (so-called genre painting); he was a pioneer in making both types of subjects the focus in large paintings.
